Trump Ally Calls His Opponents “Backwards”

During a recent episode of the Steak for Breakfast podcast Congressman Devin Nunes, who also serves as the CEO of Truth Social, expressed his views on the primary campaigners against Donald Trump, characterizing them as “asinine and backward.”

Nunes claimed they heavily relied on the Biden Department of Justice’s overreach to prevent Trump from entering the 2024 presidential race.

Nunes feels that weaker candidates want to use Trump’s upcoming legal issues with the Department of Justice and the FBI to weaken Trump’s chances of securing the nomination while somehow strengthening their own.

Nunes portrayed the opposition faced by Donald Trump as comprising various elements, including lobbyists, woke corporations, and self-proclaimed “right-wing” consultants who failed to profit during Trump’s tenure.

Despite spending up to $500 million against the former President, Nunes argued that these opponents were fielding candidates with no real chance of success.

Moreover, Nunes suggested that specific primary candidates should consider leaving the Republican Party if they failed to recognize the corruption prevailing at the highest levels, where the Department of Justice, Intelligence Agencies, Democratic propaganda, and the biased news media allegedly coordinated their efforts.

He emphasized that anyone oblivious to this alleged collaboration was clueless and would not receive his vote.

Expressing his astonishment, Nunes criticized Republicans who sought support or promotion from Big Tech, particularly Facebook and Twitter.

He found it disheartening and pathetic that individuals aspiring to lead the nation lacked a fundamental understanding of the battleground, indicating their ignorance.

Nunes is a former California Republican congressman and previously served as a U.S. House of Representatives member. From 2015 to 2019, he was the chair of the House Intelligence Committee.

He was appointed CEO of the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) on January 1, 2022, which oversees Trump’s social media platform “Truth Social.”

According to a spokesperson from Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) Google, the tech giant has approved the distribution of Truth Social, the social media app of former U.S. President Donald Trump, on the Google Play Store.

Devin Nunes expressed gratitude towards Google for their cooperation, stating he has had a positive experience collaborating with Google. He was delighted that they have assisted in bringing Truth Social to all Americans, regardless of their device.
