Jimmy Carter’s Family Issues Statement About His Health

(PresidentialHill.com)- According to reports, the former president of the United States, Jimmy Carter, is now 98 years old, but his niece says he may have a little time left since he is still talking and eating. He even requested her to bring him some soup. 

In an interview, a niece of Carter’s wife, Rosalynn Carter, said he had a lovely day, and  There was still some life left in him. 

LeAnne Smith shared with FOX News Digital that while he was chatting and eating, he requested her to provide some broccoli and cheddar soup for him and his wife, Rosalynn, before the interview.   

The Carter Center announced on Twitter in February that after a spate of brief hospitalizations, former President Jimmy Carter had decided to spend his time remaining at his residence and get hospice care rather than additional medical intervention.  

The Carter Center did not provide further information on the issues that led to the recent trips to the hospital. 

Reports reveal that at the beginning of 2015, the Democrat was identified as having metastatic melanoma, which was found in his liver and had spread to his brain. He has since disclosed that he was not experiencing any associated symptoms. 

With the loss of George H.W. Bush, who was 94 when he passed away in late 2018, Jimmy Carter took over as the record holder for the oldest surviving US president in history. 

White House.gov states that Jimmy Carter was born on October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia.  

Carter wed Rosalynn Smith in 1946, the same year he graduated from the United States Naval Academy, which is located in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Carters have a daughter Amy and three sons, John, James, and Donnel. 

According to reports, Carter has often been named one of the worst presidents in American history.

Complaints against Carter often concern the Panama Canal Treaties, the Iran Hostage Crisis, and the Energy Crisis.
