Celine Dion’s Sister Shares Depressing Health Update

Celine Dion’s sister, Claudette, has provided the latest news about the famous singer’s condition after her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome, which resulted in the cancellation of her worldwide tour. Celine, 55 years old, is reportedly cared for by their sister Linda, who collaborates closely with experts on the unique ailment. She maintains a positive outlook even though stiff person syndrome currently has no known treatment options.

Celine is very self-disciplined and is actively regaining her health. When Claudette can’t get in touch with Celine, Linda, who just moved in with the singer at her Las Vegas home, fills her in on the singer’s condition.

When word emerged in May that Celine had to postpone her global tour owing to health difficulties, her devoted fan base was there to show their support in a big way. After going public with her illness in December 2022, she waited for her upcoming performances.

Celine said on Instagram that she could not continue with her global tour.

“It is with ‘tremendous regret that we had to announce today the cancellation of the Courage World Tour,’” she said, adding that she is working hard to regain her strength.

Fans of the “All By Myself” singer consistently pleaded for her to put her health first.

Celine said in December that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological illness that causes muscles to tighten involuntarily, leaving patients as ‘human statues’ since the condition increasingly locks the body into rigid postures, making it impossible for victims to move or communicate. Celine is doing all her power to alleviate the symptoms of stiff person syndrome, for which there is no cure.

Despite the lack of a cure, she stresses that the disease’s course may be slowed with therapy.

Many of Celine Dion’s supporters have sent her letters hoping she would speed up her recovery and return to performing soon.
