Biden Mocked For Claiming Exercise Kept Him From The News

Social media users reacted strongly to President Biden’s response when asked about a recent plane crash in Russia that claimed the life of Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of Russia’s Wagner Group and a challenger to Vladimir Putin. According to state media, the crash occurred outside Moscow, leading to the deaths of 10 individuals.

When approached by reporters in Lake Tahoe for his take on the situation, Biden said, “I’m not entirely informed on what happened, though events in Russia with Putin involved rarely surprise me. However, I don’t have all the information right now. I’ve been working out for the last hour and a half.”

Several social media users criticized the President’s remarks, insinuating that his vacation and recent workout took precedence over staying informed on global events.

Robby Starbuck, a conservative commentator, humorously commented, “Seems like the president’s ‘workout’ is more about indulging in ice cream than being updated on world affairs.”

Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for a Trump super PAC, remarked, “On a significant day like this, the President appears more invested in his fitness and refreshments.”

In a playful jest, Jake Schneider, GOP Rapid Response Director, said, “Sure thing, ‘working out,’ Mr. President.”

Matt Wolking, from the Never Back Down PAC, used a humorous quote from the movie “Anchorman” to highlight his skepticism.

Simon Ateba, a correspondent from Today News Africa, commented wittily on the situation, while Brian Doherty made a light-hearted reference to the challenges faced by the Secret Service.

In a more official capacity, White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson remarked, “Upon confirmation of these events, the repercussions of the ongoing Ukraine conflict, which led to a private army’s involvement in Moscow, are clear.”

As a side note, the Bidens are currently vacationing in an $18 million home owned by Tom Steyer, an environmental activist and former Democratic presidential candidate. This vacation followed President Biden’s visit to Hawaii to assess the damages from recent wildfires and another break in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Biden faced criticism for initially refraining from commenting on the increasing casualties from the Maui wildfires while vacationing in Delaware.
