Tucker Carlson Is Winning Over The Younger Demographic, Ratings Show

(PresidentialHill.com)- Since the start of 2023, Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been leading the ratings in the coveted 25-54 advertiser demographic, a trend that he carried throughout 2022.

In the latest release from Nielsen for Tuesday, January 10, ” Tucker Carlson Tonight” topped the list, garnering 499,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic.

Fox News in general also outpaced the competition in the 25-54 demo on Tuesday, bringing in an average of 385,000 viewers. CNN placed a distant second with 120,000 viewers and MSNBC finished in third place with only 116,000.

Fox’s promising start in 2023 follows a successful 2022 when the conservative cable news network dominated the competition.

In total day viewership for last year, Fox was the only one of the top three to increase year over year both in total viewership and in the 25-54 demographic.

In 2022, Fox scored an average total day viewership of 1.49 million, a 12 percent increase over 2021. In the 25-54 demo, Fox had a total day average of 231,000 viewers, up by 3 percent over the previous year.

MSNBC ended 2022 in second place, averaging 733,000 total viewers a day. But that was a 27 percent decline from 2021. In the 25-54 demo, MSNBC placed third with only 83,000 average viewers a day, a staggering 35 percent drop from 2021.

Over at CNN, total viewership in 2022 dropped by 27 percent from 2021, with an average total viewership of only 568,000 a day. In the 25-54 demo, CNN saw its worst average day viewership since tracking began in 1992.

Fox’s early evening panel show “The Five” topped the ratings for the year, making it the first non-primetime program to finish a year as the number-one-rated program in overall viewers.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” was the second-highest-rated show of 2022 in overall viewers and the number one show among the 24-54 demo.

“Hannity” was the third-highest-rated show among the 25-54 demographic while Fox’s “Jesse Watters Prime Time,” was number three for the year in total viewers, making it the fastest-growing news program of 2022.
