Mayorkas Accused Of Enriching Cartels

A report claims that the House Homeland Security Committee found that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “enriched the cartels” in their second investigation into his actions.

The paper claims that under Mayorkas’ watch as DHS secretary, drug gangs have expanded their authority over the southern border and increased their smuggling of people and illegal goods. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green has begun investigating allegations of “dereliction of duty” by DHS Secretary Mayorkas.

The New York Times reported in 2022 that migrant smuggling by cartels had become a billion-dollar business due to the rise in illegal immigration. According to official records, in fiscal year 2022, the Border Patrol encountered a record high of over 2.2 million illegal migrants along the southern border.

The Times reported that some of the most cruel, brutal, and savage people and organizations in the world have been strengthened and encouraged by Mayorkas’ open-borders policy. The report stated that the open Southwest border does not deter America’s enemies from infiltrating the homeland.

“Enemies” refers to TCOs (transnational criminal organizations) such as cartels and human trafficking organizations and national security threats from terror-sponsoring nations and significant adversaries like China and Russia.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Pat Fallon (R-TX), and Andy Biggs (R-AZ) are just a few of the House Republicans who have introduced articles of impeachment against Mayorkas. Former congressional aides have said that Republicans in the House support Mayorkas’ impeachment.

A DHS spokeswoman had previously said that, in response to Green’s investigation, Congress should cooperate with the Department and implement comprehensive legislation to improve our failing immigration system, which has not been modernized in decades.

Mayorkas, at congressional oversight hearings, has maintained a confident, almost smug, demeanor with the people tasked with keeping the government in check.

His job is securing the border. He acts as if his job is to welcome as many illegals as possible.
