According to President Biden’s address, Republicans who support the MAGA agenda are “trying to take us backward” by striving to undo the progress made by his administration.
Biden said freedom is crucial, and its importance can never be understated, and It’s innate to who we are.
He said throughout his first term in office, protecting rights has been his top priority. He said, however, Republican supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) agenda are organizing to roll back these gains.
“We can win this fight if we all pull together,” he proclaimed.
Among the many measures he signed into law during his time in office were the Bipartisan Budget Act, the American Rescue Plan, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act.
Biden went on to talk about the brand-new jobs he created, 12 million of them, that have been created over the last two years. He also mentioned his Supreme Court nominee, Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson.
Biden used the Friday gathering to solicit support for his upcoming re-election and to urge supporters to consider contributing again in 2024. He said he was “optimistic” about his chances of being re-elected and will continue to serve in his current capacity.
My current state of mind is the happiest and most optimistic ever. There is nothing we can’t do if we pool our resources and work together.
President Joe Biden concluded his address by telling his audience that the future of democracy depends on them and that “this is about our freedoms.”
The president, who has just recently announced his candidacy for a second term in office, is grappling with historically low approval ratings and the reality that members of his own Democratic party do not fully support him because of his unpopularity and his advanced age.
