U.S. Taxpayer Money Is Funding Drag Shows

(PresidentialHill.com)- It was reported last week that the Biden State Department is funding drag queen shows in Ecuador with taxpayer money as part of its global outreach program.

The world stands on the brink of nuclear war and this is what the State Department is spending our money on. We are living in Clown World.

According to a State Department filing, Ecuador received nearly $21,000 of our money so its Abraham Lincoln North American Cultural Center could host 12 drag performances promoting “diversity and inclusion.”

The $20,600 taxpayer-funded grant is part of a State Department program designed to “support the achievement of U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives, advance national interests, and enhance national security.”

How do drag queen shows in Ecuador advance our national interests or enhance national security?

The program seeks to strengthen the relationship between the American people and the “citizens of the rest of the world.”

By paying for drag queens to gyrate on stage? How does that strengthen our relationship with Ecuador?

When Fox News first reported the taxpayer-funded Ecuadorian drag shows, the news was met with understandable blowback on social media.

Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert indicated on Twitter that if the State Department can waste taxpayer money for this, they should expect budget cuts next year.

In a statement to the Washington Examiner, a State Department spokesperson explained that the program is meant to “promote tolerance” and “provide new opportunities for LGBTQI+ Ecuadorians to express themselves freely and safely.”

Why should American taxpayers have to pay for that at a time when they can barely afford to heat their homes or buy groceries?

That State Department spokesperson argued that these so-called “LGBTQI+ Ecuadorians” have experienced an “alarming and deadly rise in violence.”

If that’s the case, precisely how is bankrolling drag shows going to stop it?

Remember when the media told us that Biden taking office meant “the adults are back in charge?”
