Twitter To Start Allowing Sharing Of Epoch Times Links After Public Outcry

(PresidentialHill.com)- After public criticism from notable figures and other users called out Twitter for censoring links from the Epoch Times, the left-wing big tech overlord finally caved. They decided to stop censoring the news outlet’s links. Users initially reported problems when they attempted to click on links that led to Epoch Times’ articles, Just the News reported.

When users tried to click on the outlet’s links, they would receive a message from Twitter saying, “The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe.”

Some reasons given to the flag include that the link could be “malicious” and steal personal information, “spammy,” “violent or misleading,” or be part of categories that are in violation of Twitter’s rules.

The links began working normally just last week, Epoch Times reported, who also claimed that the censorship affected all of the outlet’s content.

U.S. lawmakers fought on the outlet’s side, criticizing the big tech overlord for more of their unruly censorship.

“Twitter must explain itself for this outrageous act of censorship,” Florida Senator Marco Rubio, the ranking member on the Senate Intelligence Committee, wrote on Twitter.

Republican Senator Ron Johnson also called the act “alarming,” tweeting that “Twitter is censoring @EpochTimes under the guise of ‘unsafe’ speech. Remember what happened the last time corporate media and big tech tried to censor my investigation on Hunter Biden corruption? The truth always prevails.”

Even Dr. Peter McCullough, the controversial doctor who became known over his comments on COVID-19, came forward against the Twitter’s actions, saying that the more Twitter censors, the more people are drawn to “those sources of information for the truth. Keep it up Twitter!”

This is nothing new for the big tech giant. Reports also emerged that the Biden administration’s “Disinformation Governance Board,” instituted under the Department of Homeland Security, communicated with a Twitter executive to censor and block those who shared the Hunter Biden laptop story.
