From “Weird” Attacks to Nazi Comparisons
Tim Walz, who first gained national attention for launching the Harris campaign’s “weird” attack line against VP JD Vance, has now found himself in hot water over far more serious accusations. The Minnesota Governor has been pressed to explain comments where he claimed the country is “being stolen by fascists and Nazis” under Trump’s leadership, statements that have outraged conservatives across America.
Those lines don’t work anymore.
When directly questioned about these inflammatory remarks, Walz appeared visibly uncomfortable and refused to apologize. Instead, he attempted to backpedal, claiming he wasn’t referring to Republican politicians but rather to “people who are openly Nazis.”
How many people are actually Nazis these days? Come on.
But this isn’t the first time he’s pulled a stunt like this.
Before his Nazi comparison controversy, Walz had kickstarted what became a central attack strategy for Democrats against the Trump campaign. During an MSNBC interview, Walz repeatedly characterized Trump and his running mate JD Vance as “weird,” a term quickly adopted by other Democrats including Kamala Harris herself.
“These are weird people on the other side. They want to take books away; they want to be in your exam room,” Gov. Tim Walz said.
Conservative critics immediately pointed out the juvenile nature of these attacks, especially in light of serious issues facing the country. Trump’s campaign spokesperson highlighted the poor taste of such rhetoric following an assassination attempt on the President, showing how Democrats consistently resort to personal attacks rather than policy discussions.
Walz’s unwillingness to stand by his words when confronted reveals a troubling pattern of political cowardice. When asked directly about labeling Americans as Nazis, Walz appeared stunned that anyone would expect him to apologize for such rhetoric, responding incredulously, “They’re asking me to apologize because of that?”
There’s a reason the Democrats are losing, and Walz is a big part of it.
