Pop singer Taylor Swift has helped put Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on the map thanks to their high-profile romance. And despite rumors that they were planning to break up at the end of the month, recent sightings of the couple show that they are still madly in love.
Days after rumors were dispelled about the couple having a “breakup contract,” the NFL star and world-famous musician were seen together at the finals for the US Open, held in New York City this weekend. Even the most convincing forged documents are being squashed by the obvious affection the two have for each other.
On Sunday September 8, Swift and Kelce were seen at the sporting event and, though clearly enthusiastic about the match, were also a bit distracted by one another. Photos of the two show them embracing each other with hugs, kisses, and hand holding as they appeared to have a grand old time, laughing with each other and their friends.
Swift also managed to dispel rumors that she and her friend Brittany Mahomes—wife of Kelce’s teammate and quarterback for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes—were no longer friends due to political differences. The two women made headlines recently after Mahomes liked multiple social media posts in support of Donald Trump, a candidate who is not on Swift’s most-liked list.
But sources have revealed that Swift is not part of the “anti-Brittany narrative” circling the internet thanks to “a pact” the two made “not to discuss politics.” They reportedly acknowledged that such a topic and different opinions on it can “tear apart friendships” and have decided not to let that happen by “respect[ing]” the other’s “different views.”
Meanwhile, the public relations team for Kelce has had their hands full trying to clean up the mess that was made with the release of fabricated documents about the tight end’s romantic relationship. Last week, the Full Scope Public Relations team released a statement declaring the so-called “breakup contract” as “entirely false and fabricated.”
The documents in question were called the “Comprehensive Media Plan for Travis Kelce’s Public Relations Following Breakup with Taylor Swift.” They falsely stated that the two would end their relationship on September 28 and explained how the football star’s PR team would have to be on top of the game regarding the tight end’s public image.
Photos of the alleged contract quickly went viral online, forcing Full Scope to publicly decry them to eliminate the spread of false information. News of the fake contract first broke on Reddit, posted on a since deleted page. And amid the surge of misinformation that gripped fans of both Kelce and Swift, the public relations company is wasting no time in getting to the bottom of the lies. In its statement, Full Scope said that it has “engaged out lega
One thing adding fuel to the fire is that one of Kelce’s PR reps, Jack Ketsoyan, admitted on a podcast in 2019 to putting together fake publicity romances in the past.
“We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” Full Scope PR said.
