Steve Bannon Predicts Donald Trump Will Be Imprisoned If Democrats Win In 2028

Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon issued a dire warning about the future of Donald Trump’s freedom and political career. The battle for 2028 might be the only thing standing between Trump and a prison cell, according to one of MAGA’s most influential voices.

Bannon’s Prison Warning For Trump

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon delivered a stark prediction about Donald Trump’s future during a recent appearance on his “War Room” podcast. In comments that have sparked controversy across the political landscape, Bannon claimed that Trump’s freedom hinges on Republicans maintaining power after his current term.

“God forbid we don’t win in 2028 President Trump is going to prison just like Bolsonaro in Brazil,” Bannon warned.

And he might be right.

Trump made history as the first former U.S. President to be convicted of a felony when a New York jury found him guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records. Though he received an unconditional discharge without prison time or probation, several other legal matters remain pending.

Political Warfare Ahead

According to Bannon, Democrats are actively working to undermine Trump’s administration and create conditions for his potential imprisonment. “We are kidding ourselves if we don’t think Democrats are pulling all stops out to stop President Trump, to take the House through any means necessary, to impeach Trump, start the impeachment process in the first weeks of 2027,” Bannon said.

The 2026 midterm elections will serve as a crucial battleground that could determine Trump’s political future. Bannon emphasized the high stakes involved, warning supporters against complacency following Trump’s 2024 victory.

“People are sitting around still with the glow of November 4 and all the inauguration and all the balls, we’re at war. And the things that happened over the past 72 hours if you don’t understand we’re in political warfare you’re sure not awake,” Bannon added.

Constitutional Questions And Future Plans

Perhaps most controversially, Bannon has openly advocated for Trump to run for an unprecedented third term in 2028, despite the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to two terms. When questioned about term limits, Bannon offered a cryptic response about potential workarounds.

“We’re working on it. I think we’ll have a couple of alternatives, let’s say that. We’ll see what the definition of term limit is,” Bannon said during the interview with CUOMO on NewsNation. The former strategist referenced Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four-term presidency before the ratification of the 22nd Amendment in 1951.
