Spotify Sends Out Letter Detailing Joe Rogan’s Future At Company

( Spotify CEO Daniel Ek may have capitulated to the Woke mob a little when he and Joe Rogan both said that the platform would do a better job representing mainstream beliefs and ideas on the Joe Rogan podcast, but the platform isn’t ready to boot Rogan just yet.

After extreme left-wingers were joined by the Biden White House in calling for Spotify to censor Joe Rogan and his hugely popular podcast for committing the crime of talking truthfully about COVID, CEO Daniel Ek said that he will not be “silencing” Rogan.

He made the comments after left-wing extremists compiled a video of Rogan using the “N-word” several times over the years. The clips were all taken wildly out of context as Rogan was not using the word in a derogatory way in any clip. It was a clear effort to compound pressure on Spotify to kick Rogan off the platform.

Rogan apologized for using the word, and Ek refused to boot him from their platform.

“While I strongly condemn what Joe has said and I agree with his decision to remove past episodes from our platform, I realize some will want more. And I want to make one point very clear – I do not believe that silencing Joe is the answer,” Ek said in a statement.

He also said that Spotify should have “clear lines around content” and take action when those lines are crossed, but added that silencing voices “is a slippery slope.”

“Looking at the issue more broadly, it’s critical thinking and open debate that powers real and necessary progress,” he added.

It’s technically a win for free speech, but should Joe Rogan have apologized at all when he never used the N-word in the way he was alleged to have done?
