Rashida Tlaib Asks Audience Not to Vote for Biden for Supporting Genocide

Belgrade, Serbia. 16th August, 2016. US Vice President Joseph 'Joe' Biden and Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic holds a joint press conference

The extreme-left member of Congress, Rashida Tlaib, has accused Joe Biden of supporting genocide in the forever turbulent Middle East and has proposed that her constituents vote against him in November.

In her speech at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, Tlaib warned that voters will remember Biden’s ambivalent stance on Israel’s military effort against the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas.

Tlaib claimed that no matter their religion or nationality, (anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian students) are being smeared for demonstrating on college campuses to save lives by the Biden administration and her colleagues in Congress. She said it is shameful, and they will remember it during the general election in November.  The congresswoman from Michigan continued by attacking Biden for his criticism of an ICC arrest order against Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel.  She hoped that President Biden would hear them clearly. Undermining the credibility of the International Criminal Court and meddling with its proceedings is only an effort to shield Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other high-ranking officials from accountability for the crimes they committed against humanity.  She then called Biden an “enabler.”

This is hardly Tlaib’s first public stance against the Biden administration. She had a significant impact in February when she urged Michiganders to cast their ballots as “uncommitted” in the state’s primary election.

In addition, Tlaib has flat-out refused to endorse Biden’s candidacy, instead pleading with people to consider all of their ballot options.

Her speech highlights the partisan divide inside the Democratic Party about the Israeli-Palestinian problem. In an effort to prevent Joe Biden from being re-elected, Muslim activists have now begun a campaign to “abandon Biden” in nine states.
The campaign’s website declares that Biden is pursuing a death strategy in Gaza, yet he is counting on their support. There must be a concerted effort to prevent his election as president.

According to campaign organizer Abdel Salam, it would send a message to other politicians that supporting genocide may result in defeat.
