Ocasio-Cortez Refuses To Commit To Voting Against Nancy Pelosi

(PresidentialHill.com)- No matter how radical Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is, it seems that she still has some loyalty to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

While the veteran politician may not necessarily be as radical as AOC on many policy matters, she remains staunchly anti-conservative, anti-Trump, and very willing to engage in questionable tactics to condemn, smear, and hurt her opponents.

That must be good enough for AOC, because she just refused to say whether she will join with progressive efforts to get Pelosi removed from her leadership position after the midterm elections this year.

Speaking to The New Yorker, AOC was asked whether she believes that Pelosi should remain the Speaker of the House of Representatives – assuming, of course, that the Democrats somehow manage to hold on to their majority in the House this year.

AOC said that it is too “delicate” to decide right now whether Pelosi should be removed from her leadership position.

“We are in such a delicate moment of the day-to-day, particularly with the threats to our democracy,” she said, without explaining what “threats” to democracy exist right now.

Does she mean the Democrats’ efforts to make it easier for illegal aliens to cast votes? And to federalize election law? That sounds like a threat to democracy to us…

The interviewer saw that AOC was uncomfortable and responded, “you don’t want to go near this one.”

The New York congresswoman said the question was “tough” to answer that that it’s not just a matter of the Speaker but of the whole party.

“I wish our party was capable of truly supporting bold leadership that can address root causes,” she said, rather vaguely.

When AOC doesn’t think the most radical incarnation of the Democratic Party in history is still not radical enough…you know the party (and the country) has a bumpy future ahead.
