(PresidentialHill.com)- Former Vice President Mike Pence told Fox News on Wednesday that he hopes the Supreme Court’s leaked draft judgment overturning Roe v. Wade becomes the final majority opinion.
Pence said that it is his hope and literally his prayer that the draft opinion in the Dobbs case before the Supreme Court that was leaked a week ago becomes the majority opinion and that we’re able to overturn Roe versus Wade and return the question of abortion to the states and the American people.
That pleases him as a pro-life American. And he honestly believes that returning the matter to the American people and their elected representatives is a means toward literally decreasing the volume on this issue.
Pence called left-wing rallies in front of justices’ houses “intimidation attempts” that broke federal law. He pushed President Joe Biden to denounce them.
Pence mentioned the horrible acts of violence and vandalism occurring toward pro-life groups around the country.
The former Vice President contrasted today’s Democrats to the party of President Bill Clinton in the 1990s when he declared abortion to be “safe, legal, and rare.”
He sighed, “Those days are gone.”
Pence was also questioned about conservative Republicans’ rising anxiety over Donald Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz in the Pennsylvania gubernatorial primary. A survey finds that 37% of respondents believe the ex-President’s approval will not impact their vote.
Pence said that people shouldn’t second guess anyone’s endorsements in politics.
Conservative author Kathy Barnette, whom Politico recently nicknamed “ultra-MAGA” in allusion to President Biden’s jibe at Trump fans, has lately joined Oz and another front-runner David McCormick in a margin-of-error statistical tie.
Last week, Trump ran the table in Ohio primary endorsements. On Tuesday, West Virginia Congressman Alex X. Mooney of Charles Town defeated fellow incumbent Rep. David McKinley, a Manchin-endorsed Republican vying for their now-merged district, underscoring Trump’s continued prominence and influence in the party.
Pence concluded by saying that he believes the Trump-Pence agenda is looking better and better to more Americans every day, as we see inflation at a 40-year high, the worst border crisis in history, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, and gasoline prices that have nearly doubled since they took office.
Hear hear.
