Migrant Who Drugged, Assaulted, And Killed Woman Receives Sentence

(PresidentialHill.com)- A court in Italy gave a man five years in prison because he filmed himself physically violating and abusing a woman he had given drugs to and who later died from an overdose.

According to Italian media, the Court of Appeal of Perugia gave the 43-year-old man from South America five years and four months in prison for violating, abusing, robbing, and killing a 27-year-old mother from Ecuador.

In April 2021, the pair went to a party at the 43-year-old’s apartment in Puglia with other migrants from South America.

The 43-year-old is said to have given guests both alcohol and cocaine, and heroin, which the victim mixed, according to reports.

At some point during the night, the 43-year-old took advantage of the victim and assaulted her while filming the whole thing on his phone. After the party, the woman was found dead. It looked like she had overdosed on drugs and alcohol, and the police were called.

Investigators were able to figure out what caused the death based on a toxicology report and what happened according to what witnesses said and what they saw on video surveillance. The 43-year-old was then arrested.

In a similar case in Italy, another woman was given drugs, violated, and died from an overdose.

Reports show that in 2018, Desirée Mariottini, an Italian teenager, was found dead in the San Lorenzo neighborhood of Rome. She had been left there, in an area known for drug dealing. Later, it emerged that the 16-year-old girl had been given drugs by a group of migrants who took turns assaulting her. The concoction of drugs was meant to cause her death.

Three men, one from Nigeria and two from Senegal, were arrested in the case.

Another report says that 16-year-old Desirée was not the only person assaulted this month in the San Lorenzo area.

On October 6, a North African man violated a 30-year-old English woman in Rome who was training to become a teacher.

According to reports, upon hearing the verdict, the Prime Minister of Italy, Georgia Meloni, said there should be zero tolerance for these disgusting beasts.
