Kim Jong Un Spotted With Mystery Woman Amid Power Struggle

(PresidentialHill.com)- Kim Jong-un, the ruler of North Korea, has been spotted in recent months with an unknown new female figure, whose identification has baffled experts and sparked speculation the dictator may be bringing more family members to the fore.

In multiple photos released by the pariah state’s official media outlet KCNA, the unnamed woman stood close to Kim, frequently donning a simple dark suit and holding a handbag.

She was also extensively featured in the official media’s coverage of a recent address by Kim, in which he declared that North Korea would never give up its nuclear weapons and would be ready to use them if attacked.

The ‘assistant’s’ real identity is still unclear, but North Korean defectors and NKNews, a US-based news and research organization, have speculated that she might be Kim Jong-un’s half-sister.

North Korean defectors and the South Korean Ministry of Unification claim the dictator has a 48-year-old half-sister named Kim Sol-song who would probably be involved in his government.

Kim Sol-song had been physically seen by a North Korean defector who asserts to have served as a party secretary in Kim’s administration several times, according to NKNews.
Although their relationship has not been formally established, the US-based outlet stated that his description of her closely resembles the mysterious woman depicted in state media photographs.

If the woman in issue is Kim Sol-song, she has a wealth of expertise in her position as she worked as an event planner for her late father, former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, before his passing in 2011.

It was deemed a “critical” position by Mr. Madden, who runs the North Korea Leadership Watch website.

He added that coordinating the leader’s plans for his schedule, security measures, etiquette, and press obligations.

Kim Yo-jong, the younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was born in the 1970s, but little is known about her. One analyst says she is one of few who can chat freely about anything with the leader.

Another analyst says she speaks French and English with ease due to her Swiss education.
