(PresidentialHill.com)- While President Biden was in Bavaria for the G-7 Summit last week, a video captured French President Emmanuel Macron interrupting Biden to voice his doubts that Saudi Arabia is capable of significantly increasing its oil production.
Macron interrupted Biden on the sidelines of the summit last Monday and appeared to tell him of a conversation he had with the leader of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan. Macron said al Nahyan had told him that both Saudi Arabia and the UAE could not increase oil production.
He said al Nahyan said the UAE was already “at a maximum” and while the Saudis can increase production a little bit, by about 150 thousand barrels a day, the Saudis wouldn’t be able to produce “huge capacities at least before six months’ time.”
Biden was counting on Arab nations to produce more oil but a few hours ago French President Macron was overheard telling Biden that the United Arab Emirates is at max capacity & the Saudis can’t produce much more. It appears to be a direct appeal to Biden to produce more oil. pic.twitter.com/vRWJVpn3El

During Tuesday’s press briefing this week, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about this conversation between Macron and Biden. And as she always does, Jean-Pierre claimed ignorance about it.
