Establishment Republicans Launch Anonymous Attacks on VP Vance
A group of seven establishment Republican Senators has anonymously criticized Vice President JD Vance for his America First foreign policy views. The Senators, who refused to attach their names to their criticisms, took particular issue with Vance’s stance on military strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
One anonymous Republican Senator went so far as to question whether President Trump regrets his VP selection, telling media outlets: “I’ve gotta wonder if Trump’s looking at this and going, ‘What have I done?'”
Are they…crazy?
Vance’s America First Approach Sparks Internal Debate
The controversy stems from comments Vance made in a Signal group chat regarding U.S. military strikes on Yemen. Vance expressed economic concerns about the timing of the strikes, writing: “There’s a further risk that we see a moderate to severe spike in oil prices. I am willing to support the consensus of the team and keep these concerns to myself.”
Vance went on to complain that he did not want to “bail Europe out again,” which seems to have gotten a lot of people angry.
Trump Jr. Defends Vance Against “Cowardly” Critics
Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. forcefully defended Vice President Vance against the anonymous critics within the Republican Party. The President’s son didn’t mince words, calling the senators “cowardly neocons” and “genuine pussies” for refusing to put their names to their criticisms.
“These seven cowardly neocons attacking JD anonymously are genuine pussies. If they really feel this way, then they should at least be man enough to put their names to these quotes,” Trump Jr. said. “The fact that they are too cowardly to do that is exactly why I’m so happy that these RINOs are a dying breed in our party – whether they realize it or not.”
He’s right!
