Ilhan Omar Issues Desperate Public Message

( Reps. Eric Swalwell and Ilhan Omar have reacted to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s threat to exclude them from committee membership in the upcoming Congress.

Rep. McCarthy will take over as Speaker of the House when Republicans regain control in January.

The Republican lawmaker has vowed to prevent representatives Adam Schiff, Ilhan Omar, and Eric Swalwell from serving on committees. His justifications included Swalell’s association with a Chinese agent, Omar’s contempt of Israel, and Schiff’s advocacy of hypotheses about Russian collusion.

Eric Swalwell cannot obtain a security clearance in the public sector, McCarthy said in a statement over the weekend.

“Why would we ever grant him access to America’s secrets and a security clearance? I won’t permit him to serve on the House Intelligence Committee.”

McCarthy stated, “You have Adam Schiff, who has lied to the American people; we will not allow him to remain on the Intelligence Committee either.”

McCarthy said to look at Congresswoman Omar’s antisemitic words. “She won’t be able to work on Foreign Affairs, we promise,” he proclaimed.

Rep. Omar was not pleased with the information and charged the GOP with racism, xenophobia, and Islamophobia.

According to reports, Omar claimed that the Republican Party has made it their goal to target her on the House floor and in millions of dollars worth of campaign advertisements “from the day I was elected.”

She should be sympathetic to Trump’s plight; if that is the case,

Omar stated:

“McCarthy’s effort to repeatedly single me out for scorn and hatred—including threatening to strip me from my committee—does nothing to address the issues our constituents deal with. It does nothing to address inflation, health care, or solve the climate crisis.”

She said that McCarthy is now elevating people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, and so many others, in place of taking action to address the overt hatred toward religious minorities.

In a far shorter statement, Swalwell’s office said, “please circle back if Kevin McCarthy becomes speaker.”

It sounds like Jan Psaki is working for his office.
