RFK Jr. Takes On Big Food’s “Poisonous” Practices
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is calling for “radical transparency” in America’s food industry, warning that processed foods and seed oils are creating a national health crisis, and shutting down mass poisoning operations orchestrated by American food companies.
Kennedy delivered a stark message during a recent Fox News appearance, declaring “We are poisoning ourselves” with modern food ingredients. The Yale-educated environmental lawyer turned health advocate presented alarming statistics about America’s deteriorating health under decades of establishment food policies.
First Victory: Major Restaurant Chain Ditches Seed Oils
Steak ‘n Shake has become the first major restaurant chain to publicly side with Kennedy on ditching poisonous ingredients, including seed oils, by switching to beef tallow for frying their popular shoestring fries. The move represents a significant win for the Trump administration’s health initiatives, with Kennedy personally endorsing the company’s decision and appearing alongside Fox News’ Sean Hannity at the restaurant to promote their new policy.
“People are raving about these french fries. It’s a completely different experience,” Kennedy said, adding, “Steak and Shake has been great. We’re very grateful to them for RFKing the french fries. They turned me into a verb.”
Daniel Edwards, Steak ‘n Shake’s Chief Operations Officer, also promised the company’s total commitment to using “100% all-natural beef tallow” on Fox News. The restaurant has embraced the Trump administration’s health agenda, even promoting their switch with slogans like “Make Frying Oil Tallow Again.”
While Kennedy painted a devastating picture of America’s health decline during his media appearances, contrasting today’s chronic disease rates with those from when his uncle was president, he offered some hope for the future. While at present the U.S. spends two to three times on healthcare what other countries do, with worse outcomes, Kennedy said changing how we eat can make all these problems go away.
