Donald Trump To Face Another Indictment

Special counsel Jack Smith is almost finished collecting testimony and evidence for the Department of Justice’s criminal investigation into Donald Trump, the former president.

According to reports, the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022, taking boxes of classified documents that Trump’s staff was negotiating to restore to the National Archives. Trump was not permitted to have these records at Mar-a-Lago, according to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s claim, who granted the search warrant.

Smith may pursue charges against Trump or send the issue to Garland, who has the last say. Smith’s choice remains unknown.

Since it was revealed that President Biden had sensitive information in his possession going back to his service as vice president during the Obama administration, an indictment of Trump might pose a dilemma for the Biden administration. The garage of one of his residences and his personal office at the Penn Biden Center had documents.

The garage of one of his residences and his personal office at the Penn Biden Center both had documents.

In January, it came to light that Biden first declined to provide permission for a Justice Department search of his residence but ultimately accepted after the agency promised to get a warrant if one was required.

Biden’s handling of secret papers has prompted an investigation by a different special counsel. Unlike Trump, Biden never had the power to declassify documents while serving as vice president.

A report shows the Justice Department’s public integrity section engaged in the Lois Lerner IRS controversy targeting conservative charity organizations thanks to Jack Smith.

Lerner, head of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations Unit, targeted conservative nonprofit organizations, including Tea Party groups.

Smith’s request for DOJ officials to reach out to Lerner and the IRS and get the DOJ involved may have prompted the IRS to deliver the FBI thousands of nonprofit tax documents.

The DOJ merely recognized the IRS committed ‘non-criminal’ violations, and Lois Lerner apologized.
