Border Patrol Union Just Backed Trump, Because Obviously

Former President Donald Trump is winning endorsements left, right, and center – and the National Border Patrol Council announced on Sunday that he has their endorsement, too.

I mean, how could they endorse Kamala?

At a glance:

  • The National Border Patrol Council, representing 16,000 agents, endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
  • The union’s president, Paul Perez, praised Trump for being a strong ally of border agents and criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of border security.
  • Trump announced plans to hire 10,000 more border agents and promised a 10% pay raise and a $10,000 signing and retention bonus for border patrol agents.

The National Border Patrol Council officially endorsed former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Speaking at the rally, union president Paul Perez emphasized Trump’s support for border patrol agents, portraying him as the only candidate who can address the border crisis. Perez criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s border policies, warning that continued leadership under Vice President Kamala Harris would lead to chaos in communities across the U.S.

Perez lauded Trump for standing with the men and women protecting the U.S.-Mexico border, calling him a consistent ally who understands the challenges border agents face. Trump’s border security plan includes hiring an additional 10,000 border agents, providing a 10% pay raise, and offering a $10,000 retention and signing bonus to agents.

Trump echoed Perez’s sentiments at the rally, stating that border agents have been treated poorly under the current administration and deserve better pay and support. His promises were met with enthusiasm from the crowd, reinforcing his commitment to strengthening border security if elected again.

Just like 2016, 2024 will be an immigration election – and funnily enough, both elections follow years of Democrat incompetency on the border.
