Biden Says Classified Documents Were Near His Corvette

( President Joe Biden responded to news that classified documents were found in his home in Delaware by saying that they were in a locked garage with his Corvette, according to The Daily Wire.

“All but one of these documents were found in storage space in the President’s Wilmington residence garage,” Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president said in a statement.

The news came after less than a dozen classified documents were found in his Washington, D.C.-based office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, according to American Pigeon. The documents were reportedly found in November 2022 before Biden’s attorneys acknowledged the matter to CNN. The documents were from Biden’s time as vice president in the Obama administration.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has reportedly requested that John Lausch Jr., the U.S. attorney in Chicago, investigate the situation.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed Biden over keeping the classified materials by his Corvette, asking him what he was thinking. Biden responded by saying he will speak about the entire situation very soon before noting that the materials were with the Corvette in a locked garage and not just “sitting out in the street.”

Biden also claimed that he takes classified materials seriously and is cooperating with the Justice Department’s review. He added that after the materials were found, his lawyer began reviewing other locations where documents from his time as vice president were stored.

“They discovered a small number of documents with classified markings in storage areas, and file cabinets in my home and in my personal library,” Biden told reporters.

Republicans were quick to criticize President Biden and Democrats for the double standard as the media already draws distinctions between Biden and Trump. Kentucky GOP Rep. James Comer called it “ironic” that Biden, who was critical of Trump when classified documents were found in his home in Mar-a-Lago, was guilty of the same crime
