AOC Wants To Expel Her Enemies From Congress

(PresidentialHill.com)- Any Republican members of Congress who requested pardons after January 6 “should be expelled,” according to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

The New York Democrat said to Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show” on Tuesday that you are confessing to committing a crime by asking former President Trump for a pardon.

At least a half-dozen GOP lawmakers requested presidential pardons for their part in voting to overturn election results in certain states, according to the House select committee looking into the deadly attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

In the testimony, it was said that Reps. Matt Gaetz (Florida), Mo Brooks (Alabama), Louie Gohmert (Texas), Andy Biggs (Arizona), and Scott Perry (Pa.) had requested pardons.

Ocasio-Cortez said she would say that anyone who specifically requested pardons for themselves should be ejected from the United States House of Representatives, without a doubt.

She said that no individual of any authority, of any seat, of any party, should be ready to do that to damage our democracy, willing to commit crimes to gain power illegally. Colbert was told by Ocasio-Cortez that “that’s just the basic minimum.”

AOC said to establish and demonstrate to ourselves and the rest of the world that there is the rule of law in the United States, I do think that many of these people ought to be punished to the greatest extent of the law.

Ocasio-Cortez had previously demanded the expulsion of any member of Congress “who helped organize a terrorist assault on our nation’s Capitol” before the Jan. 6 committee hearing concerning pardons came to light.

On January 6, Ocasio-Cortez criticized various politicians, accusing them of hiring insurrectionists to case the joint before coming in.

She told Colbert that there was a vibe and a real sense that there were individuals on the inside.

Ocasio-Cortez said it has been highly bizarre to work with individuals over the last year, to see them occasionally, to approach you, knowing that they did what they did, especially when they’re not very clever.

Colbert said, “That’s the saving grace of their malice is how incompetent they are.”

Ocasio-Cortez dismissed suggestions of a 2024 White House run as well. She will turn 35 just weeks before the next presidential election. Ocasio-Cortez responded with a smile when asked whether she found the position of president to be “appealing” in any way.

She said she thinks we must focus on preserving democracy for anyone to be president in the next few years. So aiding the people of this country is her main priority.

“So, is that possible?” pressured Colbert.

Ocasio-Cortez screamed, “I don’t know about all that!”

Does Colbert think AOC is smart?
