AOC Has Physical Meltdown Over Ilhan Omar Getting Removed From Committee’

(PresidentialHill.com)- Before the decision to expel Omar, legislators debated the issue on the house floor. Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made some terse remarks.

As Republicans prepared to kick Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar off the House Foreign Affairs Committee, like her squad cohort Rashida Tlaib, AOC lost her cool. She slammed Omar’s dismissal as an “assault on women of color” in a furious statement.

On the House floor, Rashida Tlaib, a Democrat from Michigan, sobbed in protest at the expulsion of a fellow “Squad” member. She referred to the House Republicans who supported her expulsion as “hypocrites.” She informed Omar, a Somalian immigrant, that the United States “is failing” her.

AOC shouted that “there is nothing consistent with the Republican Party’s continued attack, except for the racism and incitement of violence against women of color in this body.”

She said she had a member of the Republican caucus threaten her life, and “you all — and the Republican caucus — rewarded him with one of the most prestigious committee assignments in this Congress.”  She was referring to GOP Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar.

Gosar published an anime movie in November 2021 that depicted him murdering the woman. Two days after uploading the video, he secretly took it down, but House Democrats nonetheless decided to punish him over the post.

Ocasio-Cortez’s rant continued by referring to Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

She pointed out the GOP hypocrisy on anti-Semitic remarks because they have a member of the Republican caucus who has “talked about Jewish space lasers and an entire amount of tropes, and also elevated her to some of the highest committee assignments in this body.”

“This is about discriminating against American women of color. Don’t tell me since while my life was in danger, I received not a single apology,” she bellowed.

Omar was fired by House Republicans because, in 2019, she implied that American support for Israel was bought and that American Jews support and push for “allegiance to a foreign nation.”

While House Democrats did not penalize Omar for her comments, they did swiftly produce a resolution denouncing racism, including anti-Semitism.

Omar got what the GOP thought she deserved now that they control the house.
