AOC Asks Greg Abbott To Retire

(PresidentialHill.com)- After his recent acts toward migrants, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proposed that Texas Governor Greg Abbott should step down from his position. On September 15, 2018, Governor Greg Abbott announced that he had transported two buses full of migrants from Texas to the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris at the Naval Observatory in Washington, District of Columbia.

In a tweet, Abbott stated that the Biden-Harris administration was continuing to “ignore and deny the historic crisis at our southern border,” which has been putting the safety of communities in Texas at risk and causing them to feel overwhelmed for almost two years.

Abbot wrote that even though she has not even visited the border, our so-called “Border Czar,” Vice President Kamala Harris, has gone as far as to claim that the border is “secure.” This is despite the fact that she has never even seen the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement. The governor said until President Biden and Border Czar Harris stand up and do their jobs to control the border, Texas will continue to send migrants to sanctuary cities such as Washington, D.C.

Ocasio-Cortez responded to Abbott’s tweet by reminding him to remember when people came together to help Texans when he “left them cold and hungry during the winter.”

She continued, “These families will get our warmest welcome. They have a great deal of value to give.”

AOC said about Abbott that it does appear that he is having difficulty in his current position, “struggling at his job.”

She said he ought to consider whether his kind of work, the governorship, is a good fit for him.

Since April, Abbott has directed thousands of asylum seekers to places governed by Democrats, such as New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. The most recent buses to arrive in Washington, DC, did so a day after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had flown two planes worth of migrants to the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
